I had the opportunity to come across this artist a month or so ago... and I totally am feelin' her music. She's raw - this kind of stuff you just don't see very often. She does have a lot of explicit words in her lyrics... but I like it. Scope her out real quick - and if you visit her youtube page... let her know that DESTNE146 from Youtube sent ya.
Enjoy! xoxo Honey

They are so peaceful when they are sleeping. :)
These little boys keep me going through out the day (and night) and thought they can tire me out completely... I wouldn't trade them (or their big brother Ka'eo) for anything in the world. :) I took this picture this afternoon while they were taking a nap. They fell asleep playing with their toys and when I glanced over to look at them, they were laying this way. I thought it was so funny... I had to share it. :) ** Brotherly Love**
E.L.F. had a sale, I took advantage of it. :)
So - I have NEVER ordered from Eyeslipsface.com online before... because shipping to Hawaii is so terribly expensive... but it is difficult to get any ELF products here on Maui, because we don't carry them all the time here - with exception to Walgreens and Ross (on occasion). I was referred by one of my Youtube Friends and told that E.L.F. was having a 50% off sale... for all orders up to $15.00. Now, this was awesome... because I was able to get all of the available quads that E.L.F. had to offer... and I got to pick up a 100 eyeshadow palette for $10 instead of $20.
Here is my haul from E.L.F. - let me know if you want swatches. :)

Sally Hansen Salon Effects - Real Nail Polish Strips...
So - this was my first time purchasing these strips and using them. I have to say that I really do like them, they are easy to use... and so far they are quite durable and lasting through my normal day duties... including washing dishes several times a day. Though they were sold out at my local Walgreens in all the cool colors and designs... I was able to get a few awesome ones.
The box claims that they will last up to 10 days, No Dry Time and you just need to Peel & Apply. They fit all Nails and come with 16 Nail Polish Strips, a Cuticle Stick and Mini Nail File.
Day 1 (pictured below)- You can see the little mistakes I did on my middle finger from over filing... but for the most part - they look really nice. :)
When you first open the box... the smell is quite strong in my opinion... like Gorilla Glue or some kind of really strong adhesive. At first glance, they look really weird and you have to really work with it to get the sizes just right... but they are fairly simple to apply to your nails. I was able to place them and take it off... if I placed it in the wrong area... so that definitely was a plus. It seems to set fairly quickly and I was able to remove the excess without difficulty... utilizing the mini nail file they include.
I do have a few cons on this item however... as I cannot believe that it costs $9.99 plus tax. This isn't that bad... considering you pay a lot more for a professional manicure in a salon or even for a high quality nail polish for that matter... but you really only get 1 application with this product. It comes with 16 nail strips (instead of 20) so you can really do another full set with the extras you have left over. I think I will use them to do tips instead... because I can cut them down to shape... maybe.
I am on day 3 of this nail polish strips... and so far - they have really held up. Besides the normal wear and tear any nail polish will have and normal nail growth... they still look really nice. The color has faded some bit, but that is normal with any nail polish you use... and considering I didn't use a top coat - it looks pretty darn good.
Day 3 (pictured below) - normal nail growth and a little bit of fading... as well as some removal of the paint from my nail edges have come off - but for the most part, they still look good.
All in all, I think it is a pretty good product. It saved me a lot of time, which is awesome considering I never have any time to begin with. :)

Sandals & Shoes... oh my!
Though I purchased each one of these at different times and from different locations... I decided that it would be a good idea to put these all in the same post.
I had the opportunity this month to utilize my Shoe Dazzle & Sole Society accounts and purchase some pretty awesome footwear.
This pair of Sandals are called Bridgette and was personally selected for me by Kim Kardashian (so they say) and Shoedazzle.com I have been a member of Shoe Dazzle for quite some time now, but I have been skipping each month and not ordering because the styles have not suited me properly. This month - after receiving my email from Shoe Dazzle with my monthly selection... I found a sandal that I felt I could not live without. I blogged about them and displayed a picture from the site a few weeks ago... and am ecstatic that they are finally here.
Then, I had the opportunity to get me the Yvette's from my Sole Society monthly selection. I was attracted to these wedges because the Fashion Stylist that chose them for me said that she put a lot of mileage on hers... and it was quite comfortable... so naturally - with my bum ankles - I thought this would be the perfect fit for me. What do you think?
Now - those that have been following me for a while, know that I haven't really bought a pair of sandals or shoes... in quite some time - so I totally splurged. The booties below was a hot steal because I purchased them at Payless Shoe Store at a BOGO sale. I was at the store buying flip flops for my eldest son... when I was approached by the sales associate that explained to me that they had a BOGO sale going on. Goodness gracious... was I in trouble. :) If I had my way - I would have left the store with 8 pairs of sandals, all for me... hehe! I was got these cute peep toe, lace up booties for just under $40.00 and got my sons Flip flops for half off... so it worked out pretty nice. I wore them and they surely are comfortable on the feet... and I actually went grocery shopping with them (after a day out with the girls) and my feet were just a little fatigued... but not enough to notice it. :)
Now - of course... I was totally happy with this months sandal, bootie and wedge purchase... but when I shopped at Costco yesterday... I stumbled upon the end cap that had these Sketcher's Shape Ups. I have been wanting them for a while now... but they are difficult to come by at a reasonable price. I have seen them in my favorite shoe stores for over $100.00 - and to me, that just was not doable. They were under $50.00 at Costco and came with a Healthy Eating Guide and Exercise DVD. What a deal. :)

Feeling Naked?
I am so excited to say that after months of waiting for this product to be back in stock, I finally got my hands on the infamous NAKED Palette by Urban Decay. This particular palette has been sought after for months now... and UD finally got it back in stock. My palette does vary a little from the original - as it includes the Shadow Karma Brush in the palette instead of the 24-7 dual liners that was in the original. Nonetheless, I am so ecstatic to finally get my hands on one of these... and I cannot wait to use it.
As most of you know... the palette comes with a mini Urban Decay Primer Potion, the 12 dimensional shades... which includes 4 exclusives and a range of textures from matte, shimmer, satin and sparkle and the professional quality, cruelty-free Good Karma Eyeshadow Brush.
Each eyeshadow is extremely soft to the touch... and comes in an array of different nudes, browns and dark colors - perfect for a sultry smokey eye. The shadows are full sized, just in a different shape than the norm... and the packaging is absolutely gorgeous. :)
Pictured below are the swatches from each color. I used Loreal Decrease as my primer... though I do not think primer was needed because the colors are extremely pigmented.
I cannot wait to do tutorials with this palette and post FOTD's.
Stay tuned as I will be sure to share the new looks here. :)

Wet n' Wild, Sally Hansen, Kiss and Organic Moroccan Argan Oil Haul
I am not going to get into detail about this haul... because not only did I take pictures, I also did a video showing each thing. But, I will tell you that I was lucky enough to get my Wet n' Wild Trios for just $2.99 at my local drug stores... MAJOR SCORE! :)
I will be doing looks with the palettes and will be letting you all know how the hair products are working for me. I hope to be doing a nail tutorial sometime soon too. :)

Motives Cosmetics Haul - 5 eyeshadows and a 5 shadow palette
Woohoo! It has been a really long time since I hauled anything but hair products... so it was really awesome that I had a chance to pick up some makeup. :)
The products pictured below were purchased from Motives Cosmetics. You can check out their line and even sign up for Cash back on your purchases by going to: http://www.motivescosmetics.com/lookgreat
Use honeygirlk@gmail.com as your email referral.
The shadows are just about the size of MAC shadows... maybe a tad bit bigger and cost just $12.00 each. The 5 eyeshadow palette was $8.50 and comes with little sticky magnets so you can easily transfer your single shadows into the palette.
You can see the pictures for swatches and I also have a video below. :)
The eye shadows are extremely pigmented... as you will see pictured below.
The colors are vibrant and are quite soft to the touch.
I haven't tried any looks with these yet, but I can only imagine how pigmented they are
and how easy they are to blend.
I tried to get a range of colors that I could use... and a mix of textures and finishes
so that I can get a feel of these shadows and do a good review on them.
Once I try them out a little more... I will be sure to do a formal review.
The picture below is backwards... sorry about that -
I totally wasn't paying attention when I swatched them on my fingers.

{QOTD} - Question of the Day, What is your favorite clothing accessory?
This is such a great question... because it is so difficult to answer. I love jewelry... what girl doesn't? Though I have more than my fair share of it... it is not my favorite accessory to wear. When the weather and every day duties permits... my favorite accessories are purses/handbags and footwear (shoes, flipflops "slippahs", sandals and my favorite... boots).

Companies/brands mentioned above are not paying me to do this post. The pictures above are of items that I have purchased with my own money. I am an affiliate of Baghaus.com and currently am a ShoeDazzle customer.
The bag I'm sporting right now is this Hello Kitty Quilted Face Bag.
You can purchase this and other awesome Hello Kitty bags at Bag Haus.
This image is from the Baghaus site.
If you know anything about me... you surely know how much I love to buy handbags & purses... and have more than enough in my ever growing collection. No - I am not bragging... I'm simply telling you the truth - I am a purse hoarder... hehe! I am a big fan of Bag Haus - not only because their prices are affordable... but because they have fashionable and trendy purses and handbags in a plethora of sizes, styles and colors. I am also a huge fan of Coach and have been sporting their bags for over 10 years. I can't help but admit that they are probably one of my favorite brands... and a pocket book weakness of mine. However, I will also tell you that I do not discriminate against ANY bag. :) hehe!

I love Sandals & Boots... and peep toe booties. :)
These pictured above are stylish and can be sported with your Glamour dress or
a pair of denim dark wash skinny jeans. I have just ordered the sandal on the left
(which was recommended specifically for me by Kim Kardashian, thanks to Shoe Dazzle)
and I will post pictures when they come in.

Though running after my 3 kids and doing errands and dealing with the hot weather in Hawaii makes it almost difficult to wear anything but running shoes or flip flops (called slippahs, in Hawaii) - I LOVE any type of footwear... especially sandals & boots. I used to have quite a big collection at one time which included Steve Madden (one of my favs) - but after I was laid off from my corporate job... I rarely used them... and either gave them away or sold them. I am slowly building my collection of these gorgeous beauties once again... and hope to be sporting all my favs in the near future.
Accessories for your favorite outfit go way beyond jewelry or a pair of earrings... though I do not "hate" on any of those items. :) Purses & Footwear are a girl's best friend... next to diamonds of course. You can easily take a simple (everyday) type of outfit and turn it into a Runway ready fashion... just by adding a few accessories. Every girl needs a sexy stiletto sandal and a hot pair of boots to Glam-up their wardrobe, and no look is complete without a trendy and fashionable handbag. :)

40 Day & 40 Nights...
It is that time of the year again... Lent. I have never been the type of person to really keep track of this... or even stick to my religion. For those of you that are not sure of what Lent is - it is a time period of 40 days in which a person (usually someone of Catholic Religion) is supposed to give up something. This will usually take place during this time and will end on Easter Sunday. Honestly... I really couldn't give you much more information than all of that - because even if I am baptized Catholic - I do not practice the religion.
There are so many things a person can give up - from luxuries to Necessities... bad habits or addictions or even everyday spending. The forty days without your Luxuries... (so to say), will teach you devotion, strength, self-restraint, sacrifice, compassion (hopefully) and of course Faith... amongst other things. Lent is also about making sacrifices for someone who made them for you.
I know that many people choose a range of different things that they are going to give up during lent... smoking, drinking, fast food, caffeine... the options are endless. Though these things can be important to others... I don't smoke, drink on occasion and that is rare... I am not the biggest fan of fast food and lately - I have been really good at not drinking my favorite Pepsi... but, there are some things that I would like to give up to be a better person for myself and my family.
First and foremost... I NEED TO STOP LOSING MY TEMPER. This is very difficult for me because lately I have been able to easily fly off the handle without any warning. Watch out, here comes Hurricane Honey. The difficulty in that is that my family will feel my wrath more than anything... even if it has nothing to do with them. Unfortunately - they are always with me and therefore, they get the blunt part of it all... and it is just not nice to live with. Times are also pretty tough on us right now... so that can definitely add strain to everyday life... leaving you vulnerable to all the negativity and hate out in the world... and making it easy to lose your temper on any given moment. I am working on this... and I am planning on giving this up. Lord, please give me the strength to get through this one.
NO MORE SLEEPING IN! This may seem like it is not that big of a deal to a normal person... but I have been struggling with getting up early - taking Ka'eo to school and then coming home and jumping back into bed. I don't get the normal 6 hours minimum of sleep, sometimes I don't sleep till after 3am and have to be up at 6:30am - but I know that when I go back to sleep, the entire day seems to just fall apart. No more of this!!! I am going to get up, take Ka'eo to school and stay up. Of course... if it is at all possible to take a nap later in the day... I will definitely take advantage of it - I'm sure. But, staying up and not going back to bed will allow me to catch up on much needed work (like blogging more) and most importantly... I get to spend quality time with my family.
So - this year... I am working on those two things. My goal is to "give them up" completely... and I'm hoping that this 40 day time period will keep me grounded and open to many successes. :)
I'm sure I will be blogging about this experience through out the next 40 days... so stay tuned. :)

Baby Thoughts... where did the time go?
I know it is not often that I post something so personal... but I was sitting here at my desk earlier today and was thinking about all the hours and days that go by... and how time flies. My twins are now 18 months old... and my eldest son is now 7. So many thoughts fluster my mind when I think about special memories I had with each one of my children... and I cannot believe how much they have changed and grown.
Pictured Above: Ka'eo - one week old
Pictured Above: Ka'eo - 1 week ago (7 years old)

I am so very proud of my boys... Ka'eo has had so many accomplishments and the twins are meeting each and every development milestone. I know they have to grow up... and that you can't stop time - but sometimes I wish I could just have one more day with their baby selves. :)
