Winter Melody - Sultry & Sexy Christmas/Holiday Tutorial using I-Candy Couture Pigments

I decided to do a tutorial this year that would offer a very sultry and sexy look.  Normally I do a full on Christmas Tutorial with Greens & Reds and a lot of glitter... but I decided to switch it up a little and do something different.  This look is perfect for those Christmas Holiday Parties or a date night with your love.

I LOVE Red Lips.  I think it is Sexy and just perfect for the Winter months. So I definitely wanted to do a look that utilizes a gorgeous Red Lip.  You will notice in the video that I did go for a pink lip liner instead of red... and I decided to do this so that it would make my lips look a little brighter.

The Earrings pictured above can be found on I-Candy Couture's website.

Shazaam.... Foxy Cleopatra (Beyonce) Halloween Makeup Tutorial

I have had this fro wig for years... and I have worn it a few times, but have never really used it for an inspired look.  Though I must admit - I am not the biggest fan of Austin Powers movies - I did like the character Foxy Cleopatra played by Beyonce - so I figured I could try to replicate this look.

I didn't have a gold top or dress - it's not something you will see in my wardrobe often... I think it's just a little too flashy for me... so you won't see me in gold often. lol  But, I was able to find one of my gold scarves and used that to add a touch of gold to my outfit.

I am also sporting a single sided silver hoop - just like in her photo... what do you think, do I make a good impersonator? lol  I know I need to comb out my Afro a little though. lol

I filmed a tutorial on this look - but it has been such a crazy week, I haven't gotten around to editing it.  But as soon as I do - I will upload it to my channel and maybe post the link below.  I did list all the products below so that who ever had an interest to do so - could recreate it on their own.  It is actually a really easy look - it's the glitter and lashes that really bump this look up. ;)

Enjoy!

Sexy, Sultry and Gorgeous... Leopard Makeup, Pictures & Tutorial

I really wanted to do something very wearable for Halloween but still something that was really sexy and easy to create.  Everyone who knows me, knows I absolutely love leopard and cheetah print and this was an awesome opportunity to do an inspired look.

I got the leopard ears from Claire's - it was on sale, buy one get one free because I purchased it in the middle of October... I got a pair of mouse ears (or at least I think that is it mouse ears) and these at the same time.  I was really excited to get them. ;)

I used a combination of my favorite products to recreate this look.

EYES:

Primer:  Eyeshadow Worx - Coastal Scents

Liners:
Black eyeliner - MAC's gel liner in Black Track Fluid Line
Brown liner for crease - Urban decay's 24/7 liner in Whisky

Eye Shadows:
Motives Vanilla Shadow
Lancome's Pose (metallic) Shadow
Lancome's Daylight (Matte) shadow
MAC's Carbon shadow

Mascara:  Rimmel London's Lash Accelerator Mascara

For the Leopard Spots:
Black Eyeliner (pencil) - Urban Decays 24/7 liner in Zero
Leopard spots (glitter):  NYX's glitter eyeliner in Mocha Latte

Lips:
Revlon's Colorburst lipgloss in Gold dust

I had a lot of fun creating this look.  I wanted it to be simple enough for anyone to do and I think I accomplished that.  If you really wanted to bump up this look - you could definitely add some lashes and totally add drama to the eyes.  The eye makeup could also be transformed into a very wearable daytime or night time look - just leave out the leopard spots and you are good to go.

The tutorial on the look is posted below.  I sped it up for watching purposes - but you should get the general idea.  And, don't forget - the products I used are listed above.  For the brushes - I used my 22 piece brush set from Coastal Scents.

Hope you enjoy it :)

FOTD (Face of the Day) - Gold, Bronze & Purple using Drugstore Makeup

Here is a quick post on my face of the day.  I pictured it in my last blog entry on Valentine's Day Hairstyles... and I wanted to list the products here so you could replicate it if you wanted to.  :)  It is really simple to achieve and is subtle enough to be used during the day or intensified for a night look by adding a brighter/darker base.  I used all drugstore makeup with exception to my primer - which I used my Two Faced Shadow Insurance this time.  I was going to use my Loreal Decrease... but it was not readily available for me to quickly grab... so I used what was handy.  However, this look would be completely done with drugstore brands if I had my Loreal Decrease available.

Primer:  Two Faced Shadow Insurance

Base:  NYX Jumbo E/S Pencil in Yellow on the inner third of the lid and NYX Jumbo E/S Pencil in Bronze on the rest of the lid.

Eyeshadow:  Covergirl eye enhancers trio in Dazzling Metallics #119 (Bronze, Black & Yellow Gold) and NYX Single Eyeshadow in Purple

Liner:  Wet & Wild H2O Waterproof Liquid Liner in Black and Avon Glimmersticks eyeliner in Blackest Night (Waterproof)

Lashes:  Rimmel London's Lash Accelerator Mascara in Black to provide length and Covergirl lash blast Mascara in Black over the Rimmel mascara to provide volume.

Brows:  Avon's Mocha Latte Quad - I used the darkest brown from that Quad called Espresso

Lips:  Loreal Infalliable Never fail lipgloss in Coral Sands

Blush: just a light dusting of NYC Baby Pink mosaic blush to the apples of my cheeks.
No contour or highlight for this look

Foundation:  I did not use foundation for this look.

*Hope you liked it. :)

Valentine's Day Makeup - I am going to be a "Saint" this Valentine's Day!

I did a blog post the other day with a quick photo of the tutorial I did for a makeup contest.  This is the actual tutorial video and details.

The contest was for KCSMILEZ80 Saint or Sinner Valentine's Day Makeup Contest.  We were quite lucky because we could enter two times for each look - 2 for Saint and 2 for Sinner.  I already did a Saint look that was pretty glittery & bold... and decided that I would do something that would be a little more toned down and Angelic like.  Since I LOVE the color purple... I had to use it again in the look because it would be the perfect color for any date night :)  The products used & video tutorial are listed below. :)

Primer:
Loreal Decrease

Base:
NYX Jumbo Pencil in Milk

Eyeshadows:
Gold, Silver & Baby Pink Color from Icing Palette,
Pinks & Purples from Coastal Scents 88 Palette, MAC's Violet Pigment,
MAC's Satin Taupe E/S, MAC's Carbon E/S, NYX Purple E/S

Liner:
ELF Black Liquid Liner & Avon Glimmersticks eyeliner in Blackest black

Lashes:
Red Cherry lashes in #5

Lips:
Avon's Mocha Plumping Lip gloss

Foundation:
Revlon's Custom Creations Foundation in 050
