Missing in Action

Hey guys... I have been gone for a little while and haven't really been posting much of anything lately.  I am so sorry... I promise, I am not abandoning any of you... hehe!

Things have been so crazy lately.  If you are subscribed to me on Youtube - you may have seen my video where I roll out my new business venture, I - Candy Couture Accessories.  That has surely been taking up a lot of my time and being able to blog/vlog and do videos has gone on the back burner the last week.  SORRY! :(

There are several interesting things that I want to share and want input on from all of my friends... :)

1.)  Check out my site I-Candy Couture Accessories, and be sure to tell me what you think.  We are constantly making and bringing in new products, so I am very interested to know your opinion. :)  I am in hopes to roll out a giveaway for this soon - so stay tuned for that.

2.)  I have been so lucky to receive a Sigma Travel Brush set last week.  I have been using it and loving it. :)  I will be rolling out a Giveaway for this once my Summer Fun Contest has ended... so stay tuned for that too. :)

3.)  If you have been keeping up to date with my Youtube Channel - you will notice that I am working on adding a little flair and fun stuff to my channel.  I started with my "Favorite High School Movies" and hope to be bringing many many more aspects to my channel to include "My Favorites" and even D.I.Y.'s.

For the most part - I may have been MIA - but I promise I am not gone for good.  I am just trying to find a even ground and work flow that will work best for me and my family.  Keep the comments coming and I look forward to chit chatting with all of you.

My First Youtube Contest Win - Yay!

So - I have been going on and on about my first contest win on Youtube thanks to KCSMILEZ80.  I can't help it... I have been on youtube since 2008 and have NEVER won a contest... so I am so excited. :)

Here are a few pictures of the prizes I won... I wanted to share them with you.

Pictured above & below:  Wet & Wild Color Icon Palette in Pride.  This palette is so dramatically pigmented... and that is even an understatement.  The left side of the palette is matte colors which are very rich in color and soft to the touch.  Just barely a swipe and I was able to get the color payoff you see above.

The right side are shimmer / frost colors.  Through I did have to swipe them a little more to get the color payoff you see below... they are still so pigmented and the colors unbelievably vibrant.  

Wet & Wild is one of the oldest Cosmetic companies out there... and although they are probably one of the least expensive brands you could ever purchase... I am finding that the quality of their products are absolutely phenomenal.  One of my favorite liquid eyeliners EVER happen to be by Wet & Wild... the H2O. :)

NYX's Single eyeshadow in Fantasy.  I love NYX... and LOVE their neutral colors.  

This gold color is fabulous...  and very pigmented.

Valentine's Day Makeup - I am going to be a "Saint" this Valentine's Day!

I did a blog post the other day with a quick photo of the tutorial I did for a makeup contest.  This is the actual tutorial video and details.

The contest was for KCSMILEZ80 Saint or Sinner Valentine's Day Makeup Contest.  We were quite lucky because we could enter two times for each look - 2 for Saint and 2 for Sinner.  I already did a Saint look that was pretty glittery & bold... and decided that I would do something that would be a little more toned down and Angelic like.  Since I LOVE the color purple... I had to use it again in the look because it would be the perfect color for any date night :)  The products used & video tutorial are listed below. :)

Valentine's Day Makeup

Valentine's Day is just a few days away.  I have entered a contest (which I posted on my blog the other day) and I'm excited to say that I have two more looks that I will be posting tutorials for to enter this contest as I get to enter 2 looks for each theme (2 for sinner & 2 for saint).  I am going to share them with you now and will be posting more pictures and the video tutorials once I have had the chance to edit them. :)

Saint or Sinner - Valentine's Day Makeup

I LOVE Valentine's Day... I LOVE being in Love and I LOVE the feeling I get when I feel loved. I am inspired by so many things when it comes to Valentine's Day and Pinks, Purples, Blacks & Silvers and Golds and of course... reds & glitters, are the colors I think of when I think of Valentine's Day.

One of my girls on Youtube (kcsmilez80) is having a Valentine's Day Saint or Sinner contest. The object is to choose a "date night" look and decide if you want to be a saint or sinner and do a video tutorial on the look. Below are photos of the final look as well as the video tutorial.

Contest - Show me your Artist Inspired Look

This contest is replacing my original contest rolled out sometime last week.

CONTEST DETAILS:
Do a video or picture tutorial on an artist (music) inspired look.  You can use a music video, look from awards ceremonies, red carpets, events or magazines to recreate the look.  Be sure to explain what your look was inspired by or show a picture or video clip of the look.  


RULES:
1. You must be a subscriber
2. Contest is open to US & Canada entries only.
3. You must be 18 years or older or have parent's consent.
4. Entry must be a video tutorial or picture slideshow tutorial showing the steps on how you got your look.
5. You must show a picture of the artist with his/her makeup look or you must state where you got your inspiration from.
6. You must post a video response to this video.

Contest will run from December 9, 2010 - Hawaii time to January 1, 2011 11:59pm HST. All entries will be reviewed and contest winner will be announced on January 3rd or January 4th (depending on the number of entries.)

I know that my video about the contest & previous blog posts were very short and did not have much details involving the upcoming contest that is now running. ;)  I'm sorry I have been so short about it.  So - here are the details of the entire contest, including the rules.

The Details:

1. This Contest will consist of a random drawing.
2. I will be using random.org that will be selecting the winners.  
3. There will be a total of 2 winners.  Each winner will receive prize bundles that equal in monetary value.
