Finishing up my 30 day blog challenge, in one day....

Things are so crazy lately with the holiday season in full swing...  I tend to be more busy with my photography & shooting portraits because it's the time for Holiday & Christmas cards.  So, since things are so heckteck, I am going to finish my 30 day blog challenge tonight so I will have time to do other posts for all of you. ;)
  • Day 23 - What are your favorite beauty products and why  {I have always loved MAC from the first time I tried it.  I am a huge drugstore makeup lover as well, because there are many affordable and great products sold at drugstores.  I love Cetaphil cleanser - it is one of my favs. Curel lotion and moisturizer is also one of my favorites as well.  There are so many products out there that I am totally loving at this moment. ;)}
  • Day 24 - What is your favorite movie?  {I have 3 favorite movies of all time,  50 First Dates, A Walk to Remember and The Notebook.  I am a huge movie junkie and love my chic flicks.  These are probably my all time favs... but trust me, the list is VERY LONG.}
  • Day 25 - 10 things you could not live without  {My husband & My 3 sons.  I don't have 10 things I could not live without... it's those 4 things I listed that keeps my life going and what I live for ;)}
  • Day 26 - What is your favorite food, why? Do you have a favorite recipe for it?  {This is a hard one, because I have so many favorite foods... especially when my husband cooks it.   I LOVE Italian food and it is by far my favorite.  I don't have a recipe for it on hand, but I think I really enjoy eating Lobster & Crab raviolli's with a butter truffle oil sauce.  Yummy - and I can find it at Sansei Bar & Grill on Maui.}
  • Day 27 - A Song that best describes you "today"  {Hmm...  really missing my husband today - he has been working almost 3 weeks straight without a day off.  I think I will choose our song as my song that describes me today - "All my Life" - K-Ci &  Jojo}
  • Day 28 - Post a picture of you in Highschool, what memories do you have from those days? {Here's my Senior Portrait from High School.  It's not the greatest quality because I took this photo from my year book and snapped a photo of it on my cellphone.  But, this is me, in all my skinny girl glory ;)}
  • Day 29 - What are your goals for the rest of the year and resolutions for 2011 {My husband and I have had a very busy & interesting 2010 - I hope and pray that things can settle down a bit so that we are not running around like chickens without heads... and hopefully we can move out of the place we are staying in now and move into our own house and some privacy. ;)}
  • Day 30 - Post a photograph of yourself today and write about 3 good things that have happened in the last 30 days.
Here's a picture of myself today. ;)  Lots has happened over the last 30 days, good & bad... and I can't really get into detail about it except to say that I am looking forward to 2011 and all the great and wonderful things that will be coming our way. ;)

Blog Challenge - Days 19-21

I promise, I didn't forget.  I have been so busy with the twins the last few days as they haven't been feeling well at all.  ;)

Day 19 - If you know that you were to die tomorrow, what would you say or do and why?

This subject really hits home for me... because I have had so many people leave me to heaven... and I never had the opportunity to say things that I wanted to before they left - including, "I love you!"  If I really were to die tomorrow, I would be sure to make peace with those that I may not be talking to right now... and let them know how much I love them and how much I care.  I would also take the time to write each one of my children and my husband letters from my heart - expressing how much I love them all and how much I will still be watching over them over heaven.  Then, I would make the last few moments of my life count and spend all my time with my husband and children.  They are my life... and I want them to know how much they mean to me.

Day 20 - Post another photo of yourself (taken today) and blog about what happened today.

Not much happened today.  I have been home all day - nursing my sick babies back to health.  It has been a crazy last couple of days because when the kids are sick, they are beyond cranky... and we are unable to go anywhere.  So basically, I did nothing today.  Here's a quick pic. ;-)

Day 21 - List 20 Facts about yourself:

  1. My name is Honey - yes, that is my real name.
  2. I'm 30 years old
  3. I live on the island of Maui, in Hawaii
  4. I am a wife of a wonderful man and am obsessed with him and am his #1 stalker ;-)
  5. I am a mother of 3 boys - 2 of which are twins.
  6. I am a Professional Wedding & Portrait Photographer
  7. I am a Freelance Makeup Artist and it is a great passion of mine.
  8. I LOVE Pizza - it is my favorite food, besides my husband's cooking.
  9. I LOVE ice cream (mint chocolate chip is my fav) and when I am feeling down or having a bad day, it usually cheers me up. ;-)
  10. I have 2 sisters & 1 brother.
  11. I am the oldest in my family.
  12. I am a plus sized girl that loves fashion, makeup and all things beautiful.
  13. I have had many cars in my life, now I drive a Cadillac Escalade ESV
  14. My nationalities are:  Hawaiian, Filipino, Chinese, German, Portuguese
  15. I have really curly hair - if you see my hair straight, it's because I flat ironed it.
  16. Besides being a Professional Wedding & Portrait Photographer, I am also a stay at home mommy.
  17. I graduated from High School in 1998
  18. I love to bake & cook when I have time.
  19. I LOVE the color purple
  20. I am obsessed with nature... mountains, clouds, waterfalls - you name it.

Day 18 - Blog Challenge, What is the meaning behind your blog name?

My blog name - "Welcome to Honey's World" was chosen because I wanted to not only showcase all of the things that I love about beauty, but also my home & family life.  I am most passionate about my family & love them dearly.  Having little time to do much each day, I always try to ensure that I spend time with my family as they are first and foremost in my heart.

My blog showcases everything that is important to me...  it is a gateway or ticket to learn more about me and my world.  ;)

Day 17 - Blog Challenge, Where do you live? Have you grown up here? What are your memories?

I currently live on the island of Maui in Hawaii.  I was born & raised here... spent my entire life here and there are many many memories both good & bad that follow me on my lives journeys.  Not only did I meet my wonderful husband here, I also married him here on the island and I gave birth to my 3 beautiful sons here.  My parents and all of my siblings live here as well.  There are many many memories from my childhood and my adult life that I know I will never ever forget. ;-)  I will certainly elaborate on this subject more later.

Day 15 - Blog Challenge, Where are your Favorite Places to Eat & Why?

OMG - okay, this is a difficult one to answer because I am a complete food junkie.  I love to eat and I am lucky to live in a State where we have food from many different cultures.  Here are a few of my husband and I's favorites to go and eat.

  • Komoda Bakery – Makawao  (Awesome cream puffs - though they do not beat out Liliha Bakery in Oahu for their cocoa puffs.
  • Sansei – Kihei & Kapalua (My hubby & I love sushi - and these guys have some of the best food on the island)
  • Plantation House – Kapalua  (Though the food may be pretty affordable considering where you are eating - it is very delicious - and if that isn't enough... look out the windows and dine during sunset, unbelievable view!)
  • Market Fresh Bistro – Makawao  (One of my favorite places to get Eggs Benedict.  They make theirs with a lobster & crab cake instead of the usual breakfast meat - so delicious.)
  • Casanovas – Makawao (Casanovas Bistro – Kahului) (I am an Italian Food Junkie and this place will do on the island.  I LOVE Bravo Italian Restaurant in Oahu in Pearl City - that is my all time favorite in Hawaii)
  • Fiesta Time – Wailuku & Paia (The BEST Mexican food on the island, unless my husband is cooking)
  • Mama’s Fish House – Paia (Very expensive, but well worth the price - yummy, fresh island fish)
  • Honolua Store – Kapalua (very inexpensive and fast take out...  a great place to eat when you want good food for take out)
  • Buzz’s Wharf – Ma’alaea (beautiful views and great food!)
  • Honokowai Okazuya – Honokowai/Ka’anapali  (OMG - my favorite plate lunch there is the Sundried Tomato and caper & butter sauce Opakapaka - to die for.)
  • Mala Tavern – Front Street, Lahaina  (EVERYTHING here is delicious and the owner is Mark Ellman of Maui Tacos, great food.
  • Hali’imaile General Store – Hali’imaile  (Showcased on Rachel Ray's travels - this place has some awesome food with great island produce.  Award winning owner & chef.)
  • La Provance – Kula (The best sticky buns I have ever tasted - hands down!)

I hope you enjoyed reading about some of my husband and I's favorite eateries on the island of Maui.  ;)

Day 14 - Blog Challenge, What is in your makeup bag?

What isn't in your makeup bag would be a more appropriate question.  Right now, my makeup bag that I take with me is pretty sparse because I just changed my purse...  so I threw my MAC blot powder & carmex lip conditioner in my purse pocket and called it a day...  but normally - here is what you can find in my makeup bag.

  • MAC Blot Powder
  • MAC Studio Fix Powder Foundation (I use this for touch ups only if I really need it - but other than that... I don't usually reapply my foundation and just use the blot powder)
  • MAC Select Moisture Cover Concealer (for spot treating any areas on the go)
  • Carmex Moisture Plus Ultra Hydrating Lip Balm with Vitamin E + Aloe & SPF 15 (this is a mandatory and I will always have it in my bag no matter what.  I have dry lips and this is great to keep it moisturized and protected.)
  • Loreal Infallible Never Fail Lip Gloss in a Nude color...  right now you can find it in Coral Sands in my purse.
  • A Basic Mascara - I am currently really liking Revlon's Grow Luscious Mascara because it has yet to clump my lashes (LOVE THIS STUFF, formal review coming soon.)
  • A Lipstick Tube - usually one of my Nude colors from Avon.
  • A MAC Lipglass - usually Viva Glam VI
  • A Eyeliner pencil - usually one of Avon's Glimmersticks Pencil in Blackest Black or Blackest Night (waterproof)
  • Tweezers (I use this mainly when I am sitting in the car waiting for someone... I tweeze my strays :-D)
  • Bobby pins (never know when you need these)
  • Twist tie or rubberband
  • makeup remover (or sometimes I take this out and just use the baby wipes I always have on hand)
  • back up earrings - incase I forget to put mine on before I leave the house.
  • A Multipurpose palette - this palette usually consists of 3-5 colors (eyeshadows or both eyeshadow & blush).  I select to use my palettes that will allow me to do a quick makeup look - like a brown smokey eye and I'll have an extra green shade or blue shade in there.  Something that is multipurpose.  Often times you will find my small MAC quads or MAC holiday collection palettes in my purse.
That is pretty much it - the list is long but it fits all in my Hello Kitty Makeup bag and I stick it in my purse.   Ready to go when ever I need it. ;-)

Day 13 - Blog Challenge, What is something you absolutely do not leave the house without?

Okay - I know, I am 3 days behind again.  This weekend has been quite lengthy and I had been so tied up that I completely forgot to post anything....

so - to answer my blog challenge question:  What is something you absolutely do not leave the house without... here's my answer:

First and foremost, my purse - because all of my essentials are in there from my wallet to my I.D. - can't drive without an I.D.  Then, I would have to say - my cell phone (though I have left it behind a few times).  My entire life is on that thing - from my calendar to all of my contacts, not to mention my entire communication devices to the whole world.   And, last but certainly not least - would be my car keys.  Can't go anywhere without those, unless I'm planning to walk - and even then I still need my house keys. ;-)

Blog Challenge - Day 12, Who/What is your inspiration & why?

If you have been following me for a while - you all know that I talk and blog constantly about my husband.  He is my biggest inspiration and my biggest supporter in life.  Honestly, I think that all spouses should be held up to that degree... because they should be your biggest supports, your biggest fans and your #1 inspiration.

When ever I need my husband, either spiritually, emotionally or physically - he is there, no matter what.  He never judges or makes me feel inferior.  Many will tell me, "Isn't that how a spouse should be automatically?"  Well, yes - this is true... but more often than not - this is not the case at all.

I am very lucky to have a wonderful man in my life and don't know what I would do without him.  He inspires me each day to be an awesome human being and he makes me want to be a better woman, wife & mother.  I love you babe, my darling Kevin. ;-)

30 Day Challenge - Major Fail... Days 7 - 11

OMG - talk about MAJOR FAIL.  I had been so busy the last week, that I haven't kept up with my 30 Day Blog Challenge...  From photoshoots to weddings, the last week has been keeping me on the go and though I have been wanting to type - I haven't had the chance.  So - here are days 7 - 11 all summed up in one post.

Day 7 (Oct. 30th) - Post a photo of something you ate today.  Hmmm...  Day 7 was completely a crazy day.  Not only did I fail on finding time to eat - I forgot about food all together.  This is a picture of what my body survived on to keep itself going on Day 7.  Thank goodness for Energy drinks.

Day 8 (Oct. 31st) - Do you watch TV - blog about your favorite show.  Right now - I have several favs to watch on tv when time permits...  including Grey's Anatomy, Desperate Housewives, Hell's Kitchen, Chopped (Food Network), The Next Iron Chef and many more... including one of my all time favs - Jerseylicious.  I am a big fan of Jerseylicious having stumbled upon the show one day while flipping through channels.  My lifestyle here in Hawaii is so much different from that in New Jersey - however, that doesn't mean that you will not find the same personalities here in my home town as you do on the show.  I have always been fond of living in the Mainland (continental US) all my life and it is always great to watch shows (reality tv) that showcase others lives and where they are from.  Let's face it - we are not all perfect... and though many may criticize the Reality T.V. world - you can't help but find it so addicting because it is so much apart of our own worlds. ;-)

Day 9 (Nov. 1st) - What is your favorite thing about Winter (this season).  Ooh - I love Winter.  I have many friends who live in the States and love it or hate it...  I enjoy Winter months because I can walk around with my warm and pretty sweaters and scarves, beenies and gloves and no one will harass you about it.  It is the only time of year here in Hawaii when the weather is very cool or down right cold.  Now - this doesn't happen every day - but when it is, you will see me all dressed up in winter wear... something you will almost never find a person in Hawaii wearing.  Because of our warm climate - we can experience major sunshine all year without a touch of chilly weather... until our winter is in full swing.  I can't wait till it gets really cold here and I can start pulling all my warmies out of storage. ;-)

Day 10 (Nov. 2nd) - What is something you crave a lot?  Is there a specific reason?  First of all, I am going to keep my answer purely G-Rated... for the fact that I do not like to divulge personal details.   But, craving things is something I do often and food is one of my biggest cravings.  Those that know me, know that I am a huge Ice cream fanatic.  They also know that if I am feeling down or depressed - a bowl of ice cream or an ice cream sundae/cone will almost always do the trick of cheering me up.  Whether it be Frozen Yogurt or the true blue ice cream, I am always game for the frozen treat... even on a very cold day/night.  When I turn ice cream / frozen yogurt down, I have to either be really sick or had ice cream for days in a row where I am tired of it.  It is not always the most healthiest craving... but, heck - it's a good high and beats doing drugs or other things that are really bad for you.

Day 11 (Nov. 3rd) - Post a picture of yourself (taken today) and blog about your day and what happened.
I absolutely do not have a photo to post for today.  My phone died -so I don't have a camera there and my other camera's are in the car which is being rained on as we speak.  No way am I running into the car to go get them.  I will have to post another picture tomorrow when time permits.  I can tell you what I did today...
After taking my son to school late this morning, I came back home to jump back into bed to try and get some rest since my twin sons kept me up all night last night.  That didn't work, because they had me up within the hour I fell back asleep and then I started my day.  I stayed home, did my usually motherly chores and then headed out the door to pick my 6 year old up from school and then to a meeting I had with a client.  The meeting ran its course & then I ventured my way to the grocery market to pick up supplies to my hubby could make dinner.  It had been pouring hours and quite cold - so I couldn't wait to get home and into a pair of sweat pants. ;-)  My husband cooked chicken thighs stuffed with stuffing and cream of mushroom gravy.  It was delicious and now I am full - typing out my blog and catching up on all I missed and will be heading to bed (hopefully by 12am Hawaii time).  It will be nice to head to bed early. ;-)

So - that was my catch up on my 30 day challenge.  I am hoping that I don't have anymore obstacles and will keep on track for the rest of the month... but, we'll see. ;-)

Have an awesome day week everyone. ;-)

xoxo

Day 6 - Blog Challenge, Do any shopping or hauls lately? Post a photo and details. - REVIEW of a FEW PRODUCTS INCLUDED

It seems like it's been forever since I last did a haul.  I can't even describe what one is or what it consists of sometimes, because my shopping or hauls now consist of shopping for baby clothes or school supplies or house hold items.  But, I did have the opportunity to go shopping last week for some new foundation (Winter time is here and I needed a different color for the season) and some other fun and exciting things that I just cannot wait to do a review on.

Here is a picture of the items I picked up when I went shopping (see below).  I listed what they are and the cost I purchased them for at my local Drug Store (Longs Drugs - CVS store)

I will be doing a review on each item once I have a chance to use each item a little while so that I can provide an unbiased review.  On a side note:  I can tell you that I have used 3 of the items pictured below:  Maybelline's Dream Matte Mousse, Dream Mousse Concealer & the Loreal Double Extend Lash Boosting Mascara.  I have been using each product for the last week since I bought them and I will be doing a youtube video review on each one, however... here is my quick review on each item here on the blog:

Maybelline Dream Mousse concealer & Dream Matte Mousse Foundation - OMG...  I absolutely LOVE these 2 products.  Those that watch my channel or follow my blogs know that I am a HUGE MAC Foundation user and have been for several years.  Though I may dip into mineral foundations a few times a year for that soft and silky feeling & look - I think I may be changing my foundations all together.  Well - maybe!  I have never felt something so smooth, silky and blend-able on my skin as I have with these 2 products.  After applying the concealer & then foundation over - I went about my day and not only did it stay put and in place, I completely forgot I was wearing any foundation.  I touched my face, it rubbed against my favorite scarf and there was absolutely no rub off.  Not to mention, it felt so silky on my skin - my face felt soft and smooth like it would if I had bare skin.  AWESOME.  It was pretty easy to match my skin tone, considering they didn't have any testers - I had to compare my skin tone to the cover of the lids and the color that shown through the bottom of the pot.  It was pretty close and I bought it on that assumption.  Turns out, it matched pretty well and the 2 of them blended well and had great coverage all together.  Thanks Maybelline, this is just awesome & I wish I had tried these sooner. ;-)

Loreal Double Extend Lash Boosting Mascara - Now, every one knows that I have the shortest lashes EVER.  I have tried many different products to boost my lash growth, or make my lashes look luscious and beautiful... and though I have gotten great results with some products - many that have claimed to do it, didn't even come close.  The Loreal Dbl. Extend Lash Boosting Mascara (moving forward - I will refer to it by using - LDEM) was definitely a product that I thought worked well and did what it said it would.  First off, let me say that when you first open up the Primer or Step 1 of the Mascara... it is like any other white fiber primer...  however, compare to many department store and drug store brands... it was not as clumpy as I had expected.  Also - the wand on the other side, though skinny - still has tons of little bristles to get in between and through all of the lashes - priming the tiniest lashes on your lids and making your lash line look full and long.  The other side (Step 2 - mascara) also had a fairly skinny wand with a heavily bristled applicator.  The consistency of it was fairly well, it did not appear to be clumpy, the smell was okay - like a body soap without  heavy fragrance.  It coated my lashes well, without much need to work with the wand to keep from clumping. My one problem with the "black mascara" side was that it looked more grayish black then blackest black as the packaging had stated.  Because of this - when I applied it over the white, it took several coats of mascara to make the lashes appear bold with a black look.  Obviously - dark gray over white will keep the lashes looking gray still.  One positive on that however is that it allowed me to test out how many coats I could go on my lashes before it actually started clumping.  I could apply up to 4 coats before it became difficult to work with... that is really good for a mascara with a primer.  Now, don't get me wrong... I don't want to be putting 4 coats of anything on my face... but I had to try it out.  I love this mascara - but don't like that I have to put a really black mascara over it to complete my look.  This would be my absolutely favorite mascara if they came out with a solution that would make the mascara side really black so that it would really add drama to my lashes.  It already does the job by adding volume & even length... now we just need the drama. ;-)  This is my go to mascara though - I just have to add a coat of my lash blast on top.

If you have any questions regarding any of the reviewed products or the ones pictured below - please let me know. ;-)

Day 5 - Look back over the years - when you reminisce, what comes to mind?.

Day 5 - Look back over the years - when you reminisce, what comes to mind? Post a picture or two of what you remember (if you have any).

Well, it has definitely been a weird day for me today. I woke up not feeling so well... my allergies are having a field day so my head feels really cloudy and stuffed up. The positve... it has been raining off and on today and I just love Jammie Days. ;-)

So - it's Day 5 of my blog challenge. Lots lots lots of things come to mind when I reminisce on all that's happened. For example - my husband and I celebrate our 10 year wedding anniversary this coming April 2011... and we just celebrated 13 years together in September (last month). I remember when we first started dating... I was still in High School - in my senior year to be exact. I not only was a skinnier (much more athletic) version of myself... I was also a HUGE tom boy. I loved to surf and do all kinds of crazy things. I have mellowed out tremendously over the years. ;-) My husband had graduated in 1995 - so he was out of school and didn't have a curfew (as I did - my parents were really strict)... so we tried to spend as much time as we could with one another. It seems like that time was so long ago... and the memories I have are special ones. I remember when my hubby took me to my Senior Ball. He knew I liked purple... so he bought me a huge bouquet of sterling purple roses... it was gorgeous. And, not to mention... he was a total hottie that night (as usual). ;-) Above is our picture taken from that night. It was a beautiful night. ;-)

Day 4 - Blog Challenge, What is a song that matches your mood?

Day 4 - What is a song that matches your mood - post a video or lyrics if possible.

Things have been crazy for me lately... this week is especially trying as we have photoshoots back to back for my photography business and an 8 hour wedding on Saturday... not to mention that Halloween is on Sunday. I chose this song not only because I consider it a favorite... but because I am really feeling like I could use a mental relax day. With the kids and the home business... there hasn't been much time for sleep or to get much personal stuff done.

So - Amy Winehouse... cheers to you. And, to the rest of you... wishing you all a great rest of the week. ;-)

Day 3 - Blog Challenge, What is your idea of the perfect night out - details, details, details.

Day 3 - What is your idea of the perfect night out - details, details, details.

Hmmm... I have to say - that the perfect night out consists of my husband and I actually being together and being able to spend time with one another without interruption. It seems like those times are becoming a rare commodity and our schedules and family lives just do not allow for it.

Once that very important detail is worked out... and I am able to have a "date night" with my hubby - then here is what I think would be perfect.

Just before sunset... we would arrive at a beautiful beach or park where we could watch the sun set over the horizon. While we are watching, we can either stroll along the beach or hold one another as we watch God paint the skies with beautiful bold and romantic colors. As we say good bye to the sun and hello to the moon, we would walk hand in hand to the car and drive away to our next destination... dinner at one of our favorite restaurants.

Dinner would commence with light talking and reminiscing of our days events. We would enjoy our favorite foods and have a few cocktails. After a wonderful dinner - we would commence on our journey home. My husband and I's travels and car rides always consist of talking story about our days and how far we have come. We enjoy this time. ;-)

When we arrive at home, the children will be sound asleep (though I must admit - this never happens) and we end our night with some cuddling time and pillow talk. I'll leave the rest to your imagination. ;-)

Day 2 - Blog Challenge

Day 2 - Blog Challenge, Post a Photo of Something you may have done today.

Besides catch up with some much needed zzzz's.... I was busy at an Engagement Shoot today (which is why this post is being done at 12:30am). It was so much fun and the couple that we worked with is family - so it made it even better. Here is one of the photos that I caught... just as the sun set. Such a beautiful couple on a beautiful day. ;-)

Blog Challenge - Day 1

A Picture of me & Isaiah on a hot night. ;-)

Day 1 - Post a Photo of Yourself and a description of how your day went and what happened.

Well, it is Day 1 of my Blog challenge. Listed above is what I will blog about today. What a weird day it was... we had planned to visit the local swap meet to see if we could find my eldest son some Semi Precious Stones or crystals for his rock/stone collection. The day was pretty much set in stone as well as what time it would all start... though, I must say - when you plan to wake up early, try to sleep early the night before so you can get an early start...

After assuming that I would be up early - we all rose at 8am and got a late start. Needless to say, we made it to the swap meet, walked around in the blazing hot sun and found my son's stones.

While at the Swap Meet - I stumbled upon a vendor that was selling everything from Tiffany's jewelry to MAC brushes and makeup. Now, having been in the makeup business for a long time, I know that anything MAC that this particular vendor was selling - is just not possibly the real thing. But, curiosity and the fact that I wanted to really see how much of a difference the products really were - I couldn't resist but to buy them. I purchased 3 things from her, a total of $44 for my purchase. The purchase included Electric Eel Eyeshadow, Gesso Eyeshadow and a brush set that includes 8 brushes. Even from the distance I was standing across from where the display was... I knew that the eyeshadows and brushes were imitation. First, when I got home... I checked out the Electric Eel. This was a color I had once before... and that blue in EE is unmistakable. I knew even before taking it out of the box that this was a remake. The blue of EE is a very bright blue and rich in color. The remake I have looks more like MAC's eyeshadow in Parrot and could be almost an identical dupe. Then, I inspected Gesso - which was just too sparkling and glittery to be a Gesso which is a matte shadow. The packaging was of very cheap quality. Again, from first glance... the box and shadow within looked pretty authentic... until I looked further. The font on the box was very weird... not the same as the authentic MAC boxes and the plastic that surrounds the pan was definitely a cheaper quality and different as well. I struggled to open both of them when I have NEVER had a problem opening a MAC eyeshadow before. I will not even go into detail with regard to the brushes. I knew from afar that they were not real just by the way the ferrule was crimped and the brushed metal look they had instead of it's usual shiny ones from the real brushes. Also - they were totally not shaped the way the originals are. But, as I mentioned earlier - I wanted to buy them to test it out and see what they were like, how different they were and if they were worth the cost. Though - they are 50% off of retail and brushes of course were pennies compare to the authentic ones - I would not suggest buying them. The colors will be great additions to any collections... and maybe the brushes would be okay starter ones... but I would much rather purchase a set of Sigma Brushes over these.

Besides all of that... I came home, slept for about 2 hours and now trying to get some work done. This is just an average day in my life. I will be doing a video in the next few days to talk about a bunch of hauls I did over the last 2 weeks and also talking about these MAC fakes. ;-) Have an awesome day.

xoxo,
Honey
