Love/Hate - My need for shoes...

Alright... I know, I seriously have a problem. I love shoes... yes, admit it. Commit me to Shoes Anonymous if you must, but my need, want and addiction to them is not going to change. lol

I think I posted this pair of boots a few months ago... it is still definitely on my HOT list and would love to have them. The problem is... I have huge calves... and getting certain boots that don't have a wide or stretchy diameter is probably my biggest downfall. Ugh... it drives me insane.

Seriously, why don't shoe designers include larger styles for the plus sized diva? Just because we are big doesn't necessarily mean we don't want to rock a pair of thigh highs... hell, I would probably use them all day every day if I could. I am so amazed at the fact that no matter how much progress we make in this world with regards to stereotypes and what is the "ideal woman" we still manage to take several steps back.

So - if there are any designers out there that are looking to expand their horizon and start making some really interesting threads... take my advice and start incorporating some plus sized fashions in your collection. Statistics show that there are more plus sized gals in the world then there are skinny ones. Do you know that if you are over a size 6 you are technically considered plus sized? And, if you are a designer that is looking into designing anything plus sized and you need a model or a tester - whoop whoop... I'm here, hollah at your girl. ;)

So - shoe designers... hows about making these style of boots in a wider diameter so it will fit over my damn calves. lol

Christmas Wish list ;)

Those that know me well, know how much of a fan I am of Baby Phat & Kimora.  When I started gaining my weight... I had difficulty finding any trendy clothing that would match my age.  Then I stumbled upon a clothing store that was owned by a fellow friend that sold items from Baby Phat, Apple Bottoms and other plus sized Diva clothing lines.  I was totally hooked.

Well, I logged into my Baby Phat website and found a few items.  These are definitely on my Christmas List this year. ;)

Gold Belted Chambary Cargo Pant

I absolutely love these pants.  OMG - I am a bigtime Cargo pants lover...  especially with heals or wedges - so sexy. ;)  They are a nice dark wash and kind of give the illusion of being a semi skinny jean with pockets.  What this does is allow the eyes to be drawn lower on the leg - instead of at the thighs... and giving a slimming effect.  I really want these. ;)

Watercolor Fatigue Smocked Waist Top

I LOVE this top.  The Fatigue/army print type designs is a hot trend that never seems to go completely out of style.  With the smocked waist and the rouging on the bust... this top is very flattering on the plus size gal.  And, the cleavage area of the top is just low enough to be sexy without being too over revealing.  What I really love about this top is that it can be paired with the cargos I pictured above, gold or silver accessories and a smokey eye. ;)

Bring this entire look together by adding these Porsha platform pumps with a round toe, lace up detailing at the counter and shiny python detailing at the heal and platform.  Not only are these heels sexy - they are a total fit and match for the outfit I have outlined above.  And, nothing makes a plus sized girl look slimmer than a gorgeous pair of 5 in heels.  ;-)

Plus Sized OOTD - Winter Ready casual wear

I love dressing up in a great skinny jean and a nice soft sweater... though, because I live in Hawaii, it is very difficult to pull it off - even during the winter months.  So - I finally got a break and was able to go ahead & wear my skinny jeans, boots & a sweater.  Watch the video below for more details and I listed all the clothing below.

Plus Sized Outfit of the Day

Today's Plus Sized Outfit of the Day is all about getting ready for Holiday Glitz & Glam.  If there is ever a time to dress to impress, it is during this time... when you can pull out all the stops - and sexy up your look for a night out on the town.  Pictured below is a beautiful dress by Z. Cavaricci Couture.  This Sparkle Leopard Tube Ruched Dress can be found at Torrid.com and features sexy accents like eyelash lace trimming on the hem and neckline with a back zip entry and elastic back.  It hugs your curves so perfectly as to show off all your greatest assets.  Obviously - the model pictured below is not me... but you know I would "ROCK" this dress.  In the photo below - the dress is paired with a Z.
