Such is life... no bother though, I'm a Phenomenal Woman!

As this is my personal and lifestyle blog as well as my beauty blog... I figure I do my usual venting here today.  It has been a crazy couple of weeks with the launch of the Eye Candy Collection... the Mineral Eye Shadow Pigment Collection that has been such a wonderful addition to our online store.  I am in love with all of the colors and absolutely am so proud of them.  It's been years of hard work and formulating and I'm very very proud with my accomplishments.

But - the roll out of the eye shadows also came with it's set of difficulty and troubles.  Competition in the beauty community and cosmetic industry is surely at its highest and I definitely was targeted in that area.  Accusations and assumptions were thrown in my direction for ridiculous reasons.  Funny thing is - I have been in the Beauty Industry for many years... and though I may have not really professionally sold my pigments, I  have been creating them for years and love it. I decided to start selling them because of my love and passion for makeup and I truly love what I do.  But - I digress and move forward.  People will talk and though it might hurt my feelings, in no way am I going to let it control me or keep me down...

One of my inspirations said this and I try my darnedest to live by it:

Pretty women wonder where my secret lies.
I'm not cute or built to suit a fashion model's size
But when I start to tell them,
They think I'm telling lies.
I say,
It's in the reach of my arms
The span of my hips,
The stride of my step,
The curl of my lips.
I'm a woman
Phenomenally.
Phenomenal woman,
That's me.

I walk into a room
Just as cool as you please,
And to a man,
The fellows stand or
Fall down on their knees.
Then they swarm around me,
A hive of honey bees.
I say,
It's the fire in my eyes,
And the flash of my teeth,
The swing in my waist,
And the joy in my feet.
I'm a woman
Phenomenally.
Phenomenal woman,
That's me.

Men themselves have wondered
What they see in me.
They try so much
But they can't touch
My inner mystery.
When I try to show them
They say they still can't see.
I say,
It's in the arch of my back,
The sun of my smile,
The ride of my breasts,
The grace of my style.
I'm a woman

Phenomenally.
Phenomenal woman,
That's me.

Now you understand
Just why my head's not bowed.
I don't shout or jump about
Or have to talk real loud.
When you see me passing
It ought to make you proud.
I say,
It's in the click of my heels,
The bend of my hair,
the palm of my hand,
The need of my care,
'Cause I'm a woman
Phenomenally.
Phenomenal woman,
That's me.
