I don't know what it is about this song, but since the first time I heard it, I loved it and it remains to be one of my favorites. Obviously - the words don't completely pertain to me or my relationship... but imagining myself without my husband... I know I would turn to this song consistently. Not to mention, when he isn't near me, I feel so lost... I am complete wreck, I can't think straight and I am always so tempted to call my husband... even if he is only gone at 1am because he has to work... I'm nothing without him.
So - this week's "Ear Candy" is Need You Now by Lady Antebellum... Enjoy! xoxo Honey

Ask Honey... weekly advice and tips
Hey guys and dolls... so I have been so bad and neglecting my formspring... I know, MAJOR FAIL. So, instead of answering all my questions there, I will be addressing them in one mass blog post or video vlog via my YouTube channel. No names will be mentioned, just questions and the answers. If you want to ask me anything... you can Facebook me, tweet me, private message me, youtube, email... you know how to reach me ;)
These questions are not only beauty related but lifestyle related... so go ahead and ask me anything. I'll give you the best possible advice that I can.
So here are this week's questions:
Q. I would really like to get into doing makeup and Freelance work, what do you suggest I start with?
A. First and foremost, make sure you have already started building your portfolio. If you are doing makeup on Friends, Family, etc... take their photographs and put it in a portfolio that you can use to display your work. You can't build clientele without showing them what you do. Second, I would make you some business cards (print at home ones are great) and pass them out when you are doing someones makeup. That will help to get your name out. Make sure to tell everyone about your business. :) The kit, the brushes, all that stuff can be built slowly and rather quickly. Before you know it, you will have all of your tools to do makeup on your clients, but if you don't have clients... you will have wasted your money on all the products. Build your base first and take a camera everywhere you go. ;)
Q: You have been married for so long, how do you do it?
A: Relationships are a two way street, literally. It is about give and take and most importantly about compromise. And, lets not forget that LOVE is a very important factor as well and really builds the base to your marriage or relationship. All relationships have their ups and downs... but it is not about the ups and downs that makes or breaks a relationship, it's about the lack of communication and compromise. My husband and I have grown to know each others weaknesses and our strengths, we know what buttons to push and what makes each other smile. First and foremost, he is my best friend. When a couple in a relationship can relate on that same terms... the awesomeness usually just falls into place.
Q: I have a serious crush on someone but I don't think she notices me, what should I do?
A: I am seriously the wrong person to ask this question. I waited 4 years before I had the guts to really ask my husband out... and I didn't even do it myself. I did however, send a friend several times. It never worked, either. I would just approach her and see if she acknowledges you. If she doesn't, maybe you need to get to know her or let her know you. Please make sure she is single first. But, either way just be yourself. Better to find out then not, I guess. ;)
Stay tuned for next weeks questions.

Lovin' my new Fling Rings - What's Your Status?
Hey guys and dolls... so - I was so lucky to receive a review of something very cool and interesting, called Fling Rings. (Thanks Leigh Ann for sending it to me) These awesome rubber rings are used to subtly tell people what your status is... using different colored ring bans to represent a certain relationship status. They are so cute.
here's my video review and a mini giveaway - check it out. :)

HONEYGIRLSWORLD.COM - A Unique blog for the Wifes, Mommies, Beauty & Makeup Lovers...
In September 2008 - I started what I thought would be a site that would cater to all things beautiful... including Makeup, Skincare & Beauty needs for all women. Now over 2 years later... after closing down one blog to open another, I am in full swing with HONEYGIRL'S WORLD. This blog is a place for all women, all ages, all colors, all likes & dislikes... to stop on in and see a piece of my world - out in the open... no page unturned. My hope is that all women (or men, I shall not leave them out) can stop on in and gain knowledge or insight on things that they may not know much about.
The focus of this blog/site is to provide Beauty & Life related subjects and allow you to venture into things you may not normally think to do on a daily basis. This is also my way of allowing the stay-at-home mommies, or home makers, as well as the "outside" full time working mommies a chance to be themselves. I love meeting new people and sharing my likes and dislikes. And, since my twins and my 7 year old keep me busy as a mommy, I am also looking for a way to "be girlie" and release the "Inner Diva" that I have to keep tied up on a daily basis. I blog about beauty products that I have tried, that I liked or think may not be for me... I do makeup tutorials so that the average gal looking to spice up her look a little or the beginning makeup junkie can learn a few tricks of the trade that I took years to master. I blog about being a mommy and all the little tidbits and milestones that come with it. I blog about my love life... being a wifey and all the ups and downs that come with marriage & relationships. I talk about my crazy hair, my funky cravings and my love for cooking & eating food. Everything and anything that could possibly be included in a Women's Blog - is right here! As if all of that wasn't enough... I blog about my life, the emotions I experience, the happy moments and the sad... this is like my Diary - but in full detail.
I am the creator of Honeygirlsworld.com. Who am I, you might be asking... my name is Honey Kaho'ohanohano. I have spent the last 3 years as a stay at home mom and a Professional Photographer, while freelancing during my free time (or what's left of it) doing makeup and teaching makeup techniques. Prior to being a stay at home mom, I was a Regional Marketing Production Manager for a huge Hotel/Resort Chain... and living the high life. Money was good, I had all the perks I needed for traveling and I never had to think twice about what I was buying and how much it costs. In July 2008, one month after trading in an already paid for "beautiful" truck for a brand new car (and a brand new car bill) that would allow me to travel from my house to my place of work economically and saving on gas, the company decided they would downsize and I was one of the first employees they decided to lay off. As if this wasn't detrimental on me already, after the years of work and sacrifice I had put in for the company... I had to now find a job in an economy that was in complete disarray. With the loving support of my husband - we both decided that I would stay home and raise our eldest son (then the only child in our family). Four months later, I found out I was pregnant and then pregnant with twins... and now, the rest is history. You might say it was a blessing in disguise... because it took me losing my job to relax enough that I was able to get pregnant... after years on fertility pills and seeing a specialist. Twins do run in our families though... so rest assured, it was a blessing. :)
Through my blogging and youtube channel I am able to express myself in ways that normal every day life does not normally allow. I wanted to create a place where all people could turn to for all of their every day needs, beauty, makeup, mommy & wife stuff, creative things, art... life in general. I wanted to be able to share free advice - Business & Professional or just plain knowledgeable kind and networking opportunities for others to build their list of friends, networks & relationships. Blogs like mine are in great need, they are an outlet that every woman can escape to or read and know that they are not alone in a world that sometimes expects them to be a leader... but does not acknowledge that they are one. Somewhere that anyone can look to for beauty advice that they would not ask anyone for because they are shy or afraid of the reaction they will get.
So help to make my blog a success... generate the buzz around it so that others can follow and have their "daily dose" of awesomeness. It's free to follow my blog or subscribe to my youtube channel and it is free to suggest it as well. Don't forget to send me an email or comment below if you have any suggestions on what I can do or how I can help you. I love making new friends and I comment back or communicate with all of my followers. :)
thanks for stopping in.

Because You deserve to be loved, just the way you are...
It seems like everywhere I go - someone asks me... how is it that after 13 years, you and Kevin (my hubby) are still going strong? Or - many will comment on how cute we are together...
It takes two people to make a relationship grow and thrive and first & foremost - communication is the key to a successful relationship. But, in my experience... there is so much more... and Bruno Mars completely captured it in his song - "Just the Way You Are".
If you have a guy or gal in your life... this song really explains it all. Does he/she express to you how beautiful you are.... Everyday? Everyone wants to know that they are beautiful in their loved ones eyes' - without judgement.
A true love - a soul mate, will love you exactly the way you are... and will love everything about you. If a man (or woman, for my male readers) tells you that you need to alter your appearance, I think that you as a person must do a lot of soul searching to see if this is what you really want in a relationship. You don't need plastic surgery, there is nothing wrong with a little junk in your trunk and you certainly don't have to run a marathon. Love yourself and if he loves you - he will love you just the way you are.
~ I love you my hunny Kevin ~
