Mally... Makeup Artist to the Stars - Review on her awesome Products

I've been in the beauty industry for many years already - having been blogging about beauty for over 4 years and my original channel - being over 4 years old. ;)  In the last few years - I have had the opportunity to try and use some of the best cosmetics in the World, including Mally.

Now - I have watched Mally's career for years... and she really is the bubbly person you see on QVC, lol.  What I love the most about her - is that she is always smiling... and that portrays her love for makeup. <3

I had the awesome opportunity thanks to the team at Mally Beauty.  I was sent some of the best products that Mally has to offer - your little makeup warrior all in one.  The first item I received was the More Perfect Palette.  This gorgeous beauty which is pictured below retails on the site for $65.00.  

This awesome edition includes Mally's Favorite colors - all in one palette. You will get a beautiful lipgloss, 3 brushes and a very sparkly and blingy travel makeup pouch.  It includes 2 blushers (Mally's Look & Romantic), Six beautiful and highly pigmented eye shadows (Glow, Brolight, Natural, Shimmering Taupe, Broadway Bronze and Nolita Navy), an eye shadow base (which I love) and an all over Luminizer (which is so awesome and has a powdery finish.  And... don't forget the gorgeous lip color that is included.

Coastal Scents, build your makeup kit with these essentials

Those of you that have been in the beauty community for some time have probably heard of Coastal Scents. If you haven't - I am sure that you will be running over to their site as soon as you are done reading my post ;)  I have been a Coastal Scents customer for over 4 years.  As a Freelance MUA - I purchase a good amount of my brushes and cosmetics for my kit from Coastal Scents - not only because they are affordable, but also because they offer awesome quality as well.

I was so lucky to choose out a bunch of products from Coastal Scents to do a review on.  Thank you Coastal Scents for sending me these awesome products - I love them and I enjoy being your customer.

I chose to review the following products:  The African Black Soap (I chose the sample size), the Facial cleansing scrub, the Shadow Worx Eyeshadow Primer, the Angled Eyeliner Brush and of course - my most raved about product... the 22 Piece Brush Set (pictured below).  And, as usual with all of their orders... Coastal Scents included an eyeshadow pigment sample.

I have been waiting for a few years to get my hands on an angled eyeliner brush after watching countless videos by MakeupGeek and how she absolutely loves hers, so I had to get it since I had the opportunity.  I love it.  It makes applying my eyeliner much easier and no shedding yet. :)

I am also very much inlove with the shadow worx, facial scrubber and the 22 brush set.  You will see the details in my video below - but I am certainly impressed. ;)  I really love the facial scrub.  It allows me to exfoliate my face and neck without hurting me dramatically.  Many scrubbers are very abrasive... and it causes me a ton of pain - but the bristles on this one is soft - but definitely exfoliates and gets the job done well.  I was really impressed considering it was very very affordable.  You can buy several at a time and throw them out when you are done and it is over used.

It's not pictured - but the fan brush is in the lower part of the picture and it is a huge brush - but great for dusting fall out off of your cheeks.  I am very impressed with this brush set.  I have used each brush already (though I did not in my video - I have had the opportunity to try it out before posting this) and I am very impressed.  My one con is that I wish that this set came with two important brushes in my arsenal - a brush similar to my MAC 224 and a brush similar to my MAC 217.  Either way though... I make them work.  I will just have to pack those separately if I want to use them. 

Here is the video review of what I received.  I tried to get as detailed as possible with each item and especially the brush set.  I surely give that set 5 Stars - I am seriously impressed with it. :)

Above is what I received for my review selection.  I was able to pick out the products myself.  You can watch the video below as I go over each product and what they are used for.  I can tell you that I did decide to select Dermalogica because I have used it many times in the past and it was referred to me by my Cosmetologist that does my facials.  She uses those products consistently and exclusively - so I had to get some of my own.  I have also used the Nailtiques Formula which has really helped to improve the health of my nails.  Though those 2 are the ones that stick out to me most... I have tried the rest and really do like it.  My favorite would be the iQ Derma Teeth Whitener - mainly because it did whiten but did not make my teeth feel overly sensitive.

It's pronounced... MEE CHEE - Review and Giveaway

First of all... it's pronounced MEE - CHEE! ;)

As if my obsession with purses and handbags weren't bad enough... I have found the most ultimate handbag for all who love them as much as I do.  “As if these handbags aren't already the BUSINESS... So - thanks to Miche Bag - I was able to try out this awesome handbag.  I received the Prima Base Bag and shells in Thereasa (pictured above), Savannah, Cleo and Leah.  Of course, Thereasa is my favorite - because we all know I love Leopard Print.  Although - we also know that I do not ever discriminate against any one bag, print or design. lol  The Savannah is a beautiful Dreamsicle color - love it so much and Cleo is another leopard print bag that is toned down in color compared to Thereasa.  Leah - as most of you may know is the shell that will be given away to one lucky winner and it is a beautiful green faux leather shell.  I love it and let me tell you - it will be very difficult to give up.

Each shell is different in design and even their pockets have a different look and feel.  It really does offer you so much room to play and experience different styles and pairing with any outfit is definitely a sinch.  I have been using these for about 2 weeks now and I love being able to change up my bag at the snap of my finger - just undue the magnetic parts and remove the shell... then replace with one that you want for the day... AWESOME!  Any mommy would love to have a bag like this - especially the Prima - I take all my kids goodies in these and the rest of my mommy necessities and never have to worry about emptying out my bag again.  I cannot wait to get more shells and even try out the other bags they have to offer in different sizes:  The Classic (the original bag), The Petite, and the new Demi.

Flatironexperts.com and the KQC X Heat Ceramic Styling Flat Iron

First of all, let me just start off by saying... my crazy hair loves this flat iron.  I was pretty leery about what I would be receiving - the company didn't give me much information about the product, only that they were sending me something that would help to tame my crazy locks.  I was doubtful, because having used many products - though there are many that made my FAV's list - I haven't really been using hot tools on my hair for almost a year and I have consistently bleached & dyed my hair over the last 5 months.

Flatironexperts.com sent me the KQC X Heat Ceramic Styling Flat Iron via Fed Ex.  It arrived from Canada in a matter of about 3 days.  Shipping was definitely quick, which is a big deal for me.  When I opened the box the day it arrived, again - still not that excited... in my mind I thought to myself... "How is this supposed to be great for my hair?  It seems like any other flat iron on the market!"  

Well, slap me silly and call me dead wrong. I plugged in my new flat iron and within 2-3 seconds, it was completely warmed up and ready to go.  I was still reading the packaging and the KQC Shine Spray that came with it and before I knew it - I could use this awesome tool.

It glided through my hair effortlessly.  Let me just explain - that I did not previously detangle my hair...  my hair was washed the evening before and very very curly... so I should have ran a comb through it.  I was just too excited, that I decided not to.  I parted my hair like I normally do when flat ironing... starting from the bottom portions of my hair and working my way up to the top of my head.  It took me about 26 minutes to get through my entire head and to get it completely straight.

Flat ironing and straightening your hair not for you... you love curls?  Well, I tested this awesome item out on my ends of my hair to see if it would curl and it did awesomely.  The iron gets hot enough to add curls to your hair, but not as hot as many of the other irons get that it will burn your hands.  The tool heats up to 410 Degrees in a very short time so you can get styling quickly and effortlessly.  It comes with a swivel chord - which is perfect for styling your hair in any situation... there's not tangling your body in your chord while you are working with your hair.  The 1" flat iron is the perfect width to get the right amount of hair and work your way through the process without having to take too little amounts at a time. 

My favorite part about this awesome product is that it is not as thick as my other flat irons... and since I have Carpal Tunnel syndrome, this is great for my wrists and forearms.  I can glide it easily through my hair without pain in my wrists and it is just about 1 lb heavy - so your arms will not get easily exhausted while working with your hair.

My hair is so soft so awesome and it lasts without problems till my next wash.  I love it.

Gofavor.com - An affordable place to get wigs & more

I recently have had the opportunity to get a few items from a company called gofavor.com.  Gofavor.com is an online based accessory business that offers affordable jewelry, hair accessories, wigs and party supplies.  They ship worldwide and offer an array of items to fit all fashion styles, needs and tastes.

Shipping to Hawaii was really fast - considering it came from oversees... which is really awesome.  I selected items that I would not normally choose myself but wanted to try and of course - I love wigs... so I couldn't pass that opportunity up.

With Halloween just a few weeks away - gofavor.com offers Halloween costumes and wigs to go with your Halloween look.  What I love about their wigs (or at least the wig I was able to try) is that the hair is very soft - not coarse at all and they are super duper affordable.  I love the side swept bang and how easily the wig fits on my head.  I originally thought I had asked for a short haired wig - because I already have long hair - but regardless, I did enjoy it very much.

The next item I received was a really cool Nautical Anchor necklace.  It is on an antique gold style chain and looks really cool.  Though it is not something I would normally wear outside of the Summer months - I thought this was a really cool piece.  It has a great weight to it and very affordable.

The 3rd item I received were these really cool threaded earrings.  I used to make these in High school and always thought they were cool - so I decided to choose them.  I do like them. They are light weight and actually large in size so they are a perfect statement piece.  The only downfall that I noticed, that I did not mention in the video because it happened afterward is that the threading started to come off after the first use.  But, they are so affordable that replacing them will not put a huge dent in your pocket.

And lastly, I received a crown pendant necklace.  It is on a silver chain and has a huge rhinestone in the middle.  It has a good weight to it and is an awesome statement piece.   Definitely worth the buy.

All in all - I am quite pleased with the company and their products.  As I mentioned earlier - shipping is very fast and I received these in the mail fairly quickly.  The affordability is absolutely awesome.  All of the items I received were under $25.00 so definitely a great buy in my opinion.  My favorite is certainly the wigs.

The ultimate question - "Would I buy from this site again?" My answer - Yes, it is definitely an affordable place to shop - I will be purchasing from them - especially their wigs. ;)

dbeautyshop.com - your stop for cosplay costumes & awesome contacts. Get your Halloween Fix here.

Today - I am doing a review on a company called dbeautyshop.com.  This awesome company that is web based, has an array of different contacts and cosplay costumes for everyone.  

Are you looking for contacts or some really awesome costumes like Sailor Moon?  Then, this is the site for you.  It is a beautiful site - very easy to maneuver and outlined for ease of use.  

dbeautyshop.com sent me 2 pairs of contact lenses.  Both came just in time for Halloween. lol  One set is the magic lenses and are some really cool Spider Web contacts.  My eyes have been really irritated lately because of my allergies - so I am lucky to have my hubby as my guest to try them on and wear them for me. ;)  Here is a photo of the spider web ones.

These lenses are $39.90 and are really cool.  They look very entrancing and I thought that they were perfect for Halloween.  They are a 14mm diameter and have an 8.6 base curve.  My hubby Kevin says that they went on fairly easy and without much effort and because they are larger than normal colored contacts and actually feel like they sort of mold onto the eye.  Unlike regular prescribed contacts - these seem really comfortable, no hazing or glaze over the lens and vision is clear.  What I really liked about these, is that they were represented well by the photograph on the site and what we received was exactly as what was pictured on their site.  Very cool.

The 2nd pair we received are the Flame Hot Contact Lenses.  The cost point is the same - they are $39.90 a pair.  Though these look really cool - I was a little disappointed that they look much differently in person than they did on the website.  They are really cool - but it did not have the same effect as represented on the site.  Nonetheless, these are really cool looking and definitely a great choice for Halloween as well.  Just like the other - it has a 14mm diameter and an 8.6 base curve.  My hubby mentioned the same similarities in this pair as with the other and although not exactly as pictured on the site - still very cool. ;)

Shipping for dbeautyshop was very quick.  The package was nicely packaged in a bubble mailer and wrapped in bubble wrap.  The shipping took about a week and considering it came from Malaysia - that is totally quick.  Each contact lens ordered will also include a free animal case - which is a great because many companies do not always include lens cases with their contacts - that way - you don't have to go out and buy any, you will have them ready.

What I like about dbeautyshop is that they offer lenses from a variety of companies.  Call me biased - but I am a huge fan of Geo Medical lenses and I'm glad that they give you an option to select lenses from a company/brand you are comfortable with.  Not to mention - they have a variety of contacts, colors and awesome designs.

This particular Travalo is the the Travalo Excel - their newest edition to the Travalo Family.  It comes perfectly packed in this awesome little plastic case with flourish designs to ensure it does not get scratched up and looks brand new for a long time.  For just $19.99 USD you get this awesome little travel mate perfect to take your favorite perfumes in. 

It is Aircraft Approved - which, let's face it... that means no more packing my expensive and favorite perfumes only to be worried the entire time that they will not make the trip.  It can easily be packed in your carry on luggage and taken on the plane anywhere.  This little bottle has a pressure regulating system that allows your bottle to adjusts to the changing of air pressure during your flights - which prevents leaks and is ready to travel when you are.  Where was this awesome product when I traveled so much for business?

~MY OPINION~

After the first use - I knew that I was completely sold.  This product is very easy to use, easy to fill and at the price that they are selling it at - considering I would have to replace a very costly perfume, this is a deal.  

Shipping and customer service in my opinion was pretty awesome.  I like when things are effortless and indeed it was.  Communication was quick and responses were very accurate and detailed.  The product arrived in one piece and was packaged in a bubble mailer... which in my opinion means one of two things:  It either really is build tough - or they didn't care about packaging their products.  I decided it was because it was built so tough... not a scratch.

I am very brutal with things I place in my purse/handbag and I must say - this little thing really has been withstanding my ill regard for my purse belongings. lol  I also love that I am not worried that it will leak in any way and my favorite pictures, cosmetics or paperwork in my purse will get ruined... or my purse for that matter. 

I love the color... though I really wish they made the Excel in purple - ya know it's my favorite.  

The one downfall in my opinion is that I had a really hard time pumping any perfume into the Travalo from my shorter nozzle perfumes.  After trying several times, I gave up and decided to use one with a longer nozzle.  It's a bummer - because some of my shorter nozzle ones are my favs.  But - still, I will live with it - because I truly enjoy my Travalo and love it. ;)

All in all - I give this baby.... 5 Stars!  I would definitely buy this again and again and in fact will be placing an order soon for another one.  ;) 

A great investment for all the perfume lovers out there.  Don't let other atomizers fool you... I have tried many, and they are not as tough... one dented so bad when I dropped it, it looked like it was run over by a truck. lol  And - Travalo atomizers start at $15.99 and they also sell awesome carrying cases.  I plan to get me the hot pink travalo next. ;)

Review: Bornprettystore.com - Cracking Nail Polish

I am going to make this quick and just give you a simple run down on the product I received.  Thank you so much Kevin and the Bornprettystore.com for providing me with this awesome Cracking Nail Polish to do a review on.  

I received the cracking nail polish in Green.  The price on the site is $4.91 - which honestly, is one of the cheapest prices you will get out there on the market when it comes to Crackle polishes.  My China Glaze polish was about $8.00, my Sally Hansen ones were $7.00, my Nabi one was $4.00 (but I really am not impressed with the color I got - a whole other story) and the Claires "Icing" one was $7.99.  So definitely an awesome deal from bornprettystore.com  Also - they offer FREE SHIPPING on EVERYTHING.  How awesome is that?  

The color does look a little black in the bottle and can look black in pictures because it is such an awesome dark hunter green color - or maybe an emerald green.  But it is such a great over coat that compliments pretty much any color.  I chose to use it over a matte lavender purple - and I really loved how it came out.

The products come from over seas in China but considering how far away they are - shipping was pretty fast.  It took about a week and a half to receive the products and that is pretty fast.  The store also offers toys, nail art items, gifts, jewelry and many others.  The items are also priced very affordable and so far I am really liking this company.

I used my Sally Hansen nail polish in the Lilac color (I can't find it right now so I can't tell you what it is called... lol)

I used the Crackling Nail Polish from Bornprettystore as the over coat (the green)

I used Nubar Diamonte Top Coat

And Sally Hansen Kwik Dry (that's the shiny oily stuff)

Fantasy Jewelry Box Review and Giveaway

First off, let me just say - I absolutely love statement jewelry pieces... and seeing as I also have my own Accessories/Jewelry business, I know quality and awesomeness when I see them. ;)

I had the opportunity of working with Fantasyjewelrybox.com - an awesome jewelry company that specializes in statement and "inspired" works of arts.  Each item available on their site is crafted so wonderfully - that it will capture the attention of anyone.

The photograph of that lovely ring pictured above is the item that I was so lucky to choose.  The ring is called:   The Ansley's Vintage Style Faux Diamond Ring.  

It retails on the site for $63.95 but is currently on sale for $48.95.

It is a 5.3 carat imitation diamond ring.  The center stone is an emerald cut stone that is 3.8 carats and it is surrounded by smaller cubic zirconia stones that all all faceted to capture light in the best way possible.

It is made of a brass base metal and rhodium electroplated.  It is 16mm wide and made of high quality cubic zirconia stones.  Each stone is clear with a brilliant cut - which adds to the look and gives the ring the look of authentic diamonds.  It also has an inlaid prong setting that should give you the added security when using the ring... those stones are set in there pretty well.

MY THOUGHTS:

When I first received my package, not only was I ecstatic and so excited - I was just blown away when I opened the box.  My ring came within a tiny black jewelry/ring box with a cute silver stretch bow.  I chose this ring specifically because I LOVE Mariah Carey - she is one of my most favorite artists and I have been eyeing her ring for a long time.  I had no way imagined how beautiful this ring would really be, until I opened the box and removed the cover.  One Word - GORGEOUS!  It sparkled tremendously and I could not believe how realistic it looked.  

I wore the ring for over a week, every day and night until bed.  I even washed dishes with it on several occasions and let me tell you, my finger is not green, the color of the ring looks as brilliant as it did on day one and even if I bang my ring everywhere - I haven't found any scratches or nicks on the stones to date.  That impression to me means a lot - I own many expensive semi precious stones like Amethyst that scratch so easily and I spent hundreds of dollars on them.  To think that this ring is made of Cubic Zirconia is just unbelievable.
