Known for her roles as a Plus sized model for Monif C, Ashley Stewart, Queen Latifah's Curvation line of clothing and being the face of Jill Scott's Butterfly Bra - Mia Amber Davis was and will continue to be an inspiration for all plus sized gals. Her wide range of talents not only included modeling - she started out as a producer for the TV shows "Divorce Court", "Change of Heart" and "The Ricki Lake Show." Her role as Rhonda in the movie "Road Trip" made her a national celebrity as well as many of her modeling ventures.
This beautiful and talented Woman was a huge inspiration to all Plus Sized gals. Mia was a spokes person for good health and was very excited about supporting the First Lady Michelle Obama and Beyonce on their campaign to put and end to childhood obesity.
In saddens me that such an inspirational figure has left us at such a young age. Mia passed away a day after undergoing a knee surgery. Per hospital records, Mia Amber was walking to the bathroom when she complained of shortness of breath and collapsed. She was immediately shifted to Kaiser West L.A. and was pronounced dead.
R.I.P. Mia Amber - I know that your legacy will be strong and I thank you for being an inspiration to all the Plus Sized Divas out there in our World. Thank you for showing us how to "work what we were born with!"
