Nails of the Week - What I sported this New Year's Eve.

 

You are just going to start laughing when I tell you that I cannot remember what color I used to do my nails for this look... ugh - my headaches have been so deadly lately... I can't seem to collect my thoughts.  And, what is driving me nuts is that this is one of my favorite polishes.

I am using China Glaze's Awakening Nail Lacquer with Sally Hansen's Strobe Light on my ring fingers for a little sparkle.  I am using my Julep Top Coat for the shine.

I wanted to do something sweet and simple but wanted to include a color that was still very bold.  What I love about Awakening is that it is a gorgeous pink color but has gold through out... I wouldn't call them sparkles or reflecks... more like a metallic blend of gold.  It's gorgeous and my perfect Holiday nail color ;)

Nails of the Week

Talk about fail on my part this week - I have been so pre-occupied with orders and so much other things - I haven't really been posting.  But - I will be doing all my catching up tonight ;)  Here are my nails I am sporting this week.  I wanted to do something really simply but still attract attention and the crackle nail polishes are perfect for that.  I went with Sinful Colors Black on Black as my base coat and then Sally Hansen's Antiqued Gold as the over coat.  Here is the result. ;)  I am seriously loving this Sally Hansen crackle polishes... ;)

I love that the gold/crackle makes even a rich black polish very wearable - no matter the season.  This is a very easy polish combo to rock any time of the year. ;)

What I love about this gold is that is it not "blam" gold - it is still very subtle... enough to wear everyday - I can't wait to try it out with other colors ;)

Nails of the Week - OPI's Designer Series and a little glitter

Just a quick Nail of the Week.  I actually filmed a tutorial on this design when I originally did it this week, but I decided that I didn't want to edit it.  I might go ahead and do the edit and upload it at a later date.  

On my nails I used the following:

Glitter base:  Sinful colors Purple Diamond

Tips:  OPI's Designer Series DS003

White flowers:  Kiss Nail Art Silver Glitter & White Paint

Top Coat:  Nubar Diamonte Top Coat

The wet look is my Sally Hansen Kwik Dry and Cuticle Oil ;)

I was going for the "Gel/Acrylic layer and fade look"... not sure if I accomplished it - but I surely tried.  It's been such a long time since I have spent time doing my nails.  I am going to try and pretty them up more often and do tutorials like I used to in the past.  If worst comes to worst - at least I can photograph them for the final look. ;)
